Along with the increase of shortage of petroleum and air pollution, electric motor vehicles, with their clean and energy-saving quality, have become the most important program on development and improvement of automobile industry in the 21century.

MGL has aimed to develop lithium-ion power batteries since it was founded. The organizing committee of the 29^th Olympic Games has determined that 50 pure electric buses will be used during Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. These electric buses will provide 24-hour continuous service along three interior loop lines at the Olympic Village, the Media Village and the northern playing area. The lithium-ion batteries equipped on the electric buses will be totally supplied by MGL.

Presently, the electric buses for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, which are equipped with MGL360Ah lithium-ion batteries, have undergone more than 70 thousand kilometers test run. All examines show that MGL lithium-ion power batteries have fine quality on safety and electrochemistry

MGL electric motor vehicles have got excellent results on Challenge Bibendum for three times. MGL’s achievements on power battery technology has promoted the development of electric automobile technology and the industry in both China and other countries. Therefore, the technology and the products of MGL have attracted great attention of The Ministry of Science and Technology, Beijing city government and the automobile industry at home and abroad.
